Why It Makes Sense For The Chicago Bulls

On the other hand, the Bulls being able to acquire Kevin Knox from the Knicks would be a big win. They are currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the Eastern Conference playoff picture, but they aren’t too far away from breaking in.

Zach LaVine is a very talented player and Lauri Markkanen is a quality young big man. Chicago also has point guard Coby White, who has flashed a ton of potential. Adding Knox to that core would fit with the team needs and would help take them to the next level.

Knox has not developed quite like the Knicks were hoping. He has struggled to score the ball at a high level, but there is still plenty of time to work on his game. After all, Knox is just 21 years old.

In addition to Knox, the Bulls could also select a big man like Obi Toppin or Onyeka Okongwu with the No. 8 pick. Moving down from No. 4 to No. 8 in order to get a talent like Knox, who was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, is a no-brainer.

Chicago is not in a position to play it safe either. The Bulls want to make the playoffs and this move could help them make a push towards that goal.
