Rationale for Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns showed plenty of intriguing signs during their nearly successful run at a playoff spot in the NBA Bubble. One of which was that Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges on the perimeter is an excellent combination.

The Suns also experienced plenty of success with Kelly Oubre Jr. in their lineup before the NBA suspended play. However, achieving results with Johnson portrays reason for confidence in that Phoenix can still succeed if they were to move Oubre Jr.

As long as the Suns feel very confident in adding LaMelo Ball or Anthony Edwards into the mix, this is a logical trade offer for them. That would obviously depend on the thoughts of their scouting department.

The Suns would have the luxury of not having to rely on the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft to make a major impact as a starter right away. If it’s Ball, they could work him in behind Ricky Rubio before eventually making him the full-time starter.
