The Sacramento Kings hold the No. 12 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, which is a significant jump from No. 3 overall.

The Kings have a new GM in Monte McNair, who is in the process of redoing Sacramento’s front office.

While dropping nine spots in the draft order is not ideal for the Charlotte Hornets, the Kings could offer Buddy Hield, plus the No. 12 pick in an effort to move up.

It would depend on Charlotte’s view of Hield as a player, and the fact that New Orleans has already moved on from him and he’s had issues in Sacramento, too.

But if Charlotte felt Hield could help them over the next few years, it could be worth considering. Sacramento won’t be able to make the best offer, but they can offer a veteran shooter, unlike Cleveland or Atlanta.
