Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks currently hold the No. 6 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Atlanta could package that pick, plus others, to move up three spots to No. 3 overall.
Charlotte Hornets is in an intriguing spot at No. 3, because there are really three players who are viewed as above the rest of the class: LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman.
Even if there isn’t a consensus No. 1 pick in this draft, those three are the consensus top three picks in some order.
In theory, Charlotte will be able to take the one who is left on the board at their pick — or auction off the pick for the rights to that player.
Atlanta needs to keep building around Trae Young, and perhaps James Wiseman would create an interesting pairing.
