Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Andre Iguodala, Kelly Olynyk, Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn, 2020 First Round Pick, 2022 First Round Pick

To start off, Olynyk — as we’ve written here in the past — has a player option that he’s expected to exercise. If he does, he can be included in this trade.

The 76ers also acquire Andre Iguodala, who of course began his illustrious career in the City of Brotherly Love. Tyler Herro is the centerpiece of the deal for Philly, and they also acquire another guard who has shown promise, in Kendrick Nunn.

Before we discuss the fit for both teams, let’s discuss why the trade materialized to include Herro.

In September, Bleacher Report suggested in this piece that Embiid could head to Miami in exchange for Bam Adebayo, Iguodala, Nunn and Olynyk.

Even though a trade of Embiid for Adebayo would match up positionally, the Heat likely won’t part with Adebayo. But Miami would have to give something of value, so in this hypothetical, it’s Herro.
