Utah Jazz:
Unless Boston finds a great offer, Gordon Hayward likely remains with the Celtics. But imagine a return to Utah, where his career began.
Bleacher Report ran a story earlier this month which posited a trade sending Hayward from Boston back to Utah, in a package for Hayward’s former teammate, Rudy Gobert.
There are multiple ways a trade could work to send Hayward back to the Jazz.
Due to his leg injury, Hayward did not return to Utah until Nov. 9, 2018, after joining the Celtics in 2017. Hayward was booed heavily in Utah that night, but he had several memorable years there and could enjoy a return.
A trade to Utah, as with all teams on this list, is hypothetical and would hinge on Boston wanting to move on from Hayward. If they do, the Celtics should have multiple options.
