Blake Griffin, Detroit Pistons
Blake Griffin is no longer the same player he was with the “Lob City” Clippers, but he still has enough ability and name recognition to entice others to join the Knicks.
Griffin would bring veteran experience to the Knicks’ front court, and he’d be an ideal player for Mitchell Robinson to learn from.
Griffin has already embraced his veteran status on a rebuilding Pistons team, and in a way he’d find himself in a similar predicament in New York.
In January, Griffin underwent knee surgery, but he revealed in May that he was fully recovered and ready to play.
When he’s healthy, Griffin is still an impactful player. In 2018-19, Griffin was an All Star, as he played in 75 games, averaging 24.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
