Miami makes this list in a similar fashion to that of Boston. For the Heat, LaMarcus Aldridge might not be at the top of their shopping list this offseason, but he could be an option depending on other moves.
The Heat will pursue another star to join Jimmy Butler in Miami, and Pat Riley is always aggressive in his relentless pursuit of greatness.
The Heat will think big, as they could make a case for Victor Oladipo or Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021 if either reaches free agency.
That’s also a reason why Aldridge could make sense for this coming season. He’d provide a fallback option for Bam Adebayo in the front court, giving Miami an excellent duo. But Aldridge is only under contract for next season, meaning he wouldn’t jeopardize Miami’s big plans in 2021.
