Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets pulled off an impressive playoff run in the NBA Bubble— making it all the way to the Western Conference Finals. Now, they will need to add another piece to the mix and Blake Griffin is one that is at least worth consideration.
With Paul Millsap and Jerami Grant both set to become a free agent in the offseason, the Nuggets have a real opportunity to make a change at the power forward position. Denver could also use Gary Harris’ contract in a trade with the Detroit Pistons and return him to the state where he played college basketball.
A trade for Blake Griffin would provide the Nuggets with two frontcourt talents that can punish teams as short roll playmakers while also being able to shoot the basketball from deep. That would make them a tough matchup for the Los Angeles Lakers.
There would be a unique big-to-big passing potential with a Griffin-Jokic frontcourt pairing that would be tough for small teams to handle. Griffin would also give the Nuggets a needed level of size to bang with big teams.
