Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves have struggled to succeed during Karl-Anthony Towns’ time with the organization. They are running out of time to construct a competitive product before he may start looking elsewhere for a team that can get the job done.
With the Timberwolves now having D’Angelo Russell at point guard, they have a primary ball-handler that can orchestrate the offense. Adding another reliable scoring option into the lineup could elevate the unit.
Having Karl-Anthony Towns as a potent stretch-five threat alongside Blake Griffin would be an intriguing frontcourt pairing for the Timberwolves. A duo of that kind would enable Minnesota to pick on favorable matchups in screen-and-roll scenarios.
There would be some defensive limitations being able to guard smaller teams that can get into the paint. However, the Timberwolves would have a frontcourt that can bully that type of matchup in the paint and get to the free throw line to slow down the flow of the game.
