5 free agents that would make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers

Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers captured their 17th franchise title after defeating the Miami Heat.

The Lakers defeated the Heat 106-93 in a closeout Game 6. LeBron James took home the Finals MVP honors. Los Angeles dominated on the defensive side of the ball.

Although Miami matched the Lakers’ intensity it was clear that James and Anthony Davis could not be denied.

Recapping 2019-20 Lakers Season

James finished the game with a triple-double stat line of 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. In addition to his strong performance, Davis recorded 19 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists.

Both Lakers changed the trajectory of Game 6, but Rajon Rondo put his imprint on the game early. Rondo contributed 19 points, four assists, and four rebounds.

In addition to Rondo’s stat line, he helped LA set the tone, get into their offense, and take care of the ball. Most of his plays may not be a feature on SportsCenter, but his hustle, effort, and energy plays lifted the Lakers.

Before winning their 17th title, the Lakers entered the bubble without Avery Bradley, who opted out to spend time with his family.

At the beginning of the season and at the start of the bubble, fans, analysts, and the basketball world expected the Los Angeles Clippers to win it all.

However, the Lakers came out on top. With different time frames and dates, the NBA offseason is upon us.
