Why the Clippers Should Do It
The Clippers need to shake up their roster in an impactful way. Drummond would give opposing defenses another layer to worry about in addition to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Drummond can be plugged in as the Clippers starting center, and he can be expected to put up around 17 points and 12 rebounds in about 30 minutes per game. Last season, Drummond had an effective field goal percentage of 54%.
Montrezl Harrell is a free agent this offseason, and the 26 year-old is coming off a season in which he had career-highs in points per game, rebounds per game, minutes per game and free throw percentage.
Harrell will be in high demand this offseason, and the Clippers will have plenty of competition for his services.
If Harrell departs, the Clippers could replace him with Drummond.
