Phoenix Suns
The Suns’ chances of actually moving up to No. 1 in the 2020 NBA Draft may be remote, but Phoenix holds a card that almost no other team has, so the Suns make the list to round it out.
Phoenix has the 10th pick — which is obviously not the headliner. If the Suns would be open to trading Devin Booker, they’d be able to acquire the No. 1 pick, plus additional assets from Minnesota.
That is certainly a big ‘if.’ It’s likely a remote ‘if.’ Booker and the Suns went 8-0 in the NBA bubble and nearly made the playoffs. Booker is Phoenix’s foundational star. He’s the kind of player teams keep.
All of which makes a trade unlikely. But this is a ‘best positioned’ list, and the Suns would be in the best position to land at least the No. 1 pick, if Booker were available.
The Wolves would have to part with more than simply the No. 1 pick to get Booker, but on the off chance he becomes available, the Wolves should jump at the opportunity.
