In 2019, NBA executives theorized that the Houston Rockets could be a potential landing spot for DeMar DeRozan in a trade, among other teams. Houston, as we know, did not make a move for DeRozan.

However, the Kings did make a move that warrants their inclusion on this list. Sacramento hired Monte McNair, the former assistant general manager in Houston, to serve as the Kings’ GM.

If there was legitimate interest in DeRozan in Houston, McNair could have similar interest in Sacramento.
