Trade Down and Remain in NBA Draft Lottery
If a star player is not available via trade, this could be the Warriors’ best option.
If Cleveland wants to move up from No. 5, or the Pistons want to move up from No. 7, for example, perhaps the Warriors consider moving down.
The question with trading down, of course, is how far are the Warriors willing to go?
For example, if Phoenix wants to move all the way up to No. 2 from No. 10, the could be where the Warriors draw the line.
Golden State needs to stay within striking range to come away with an asset on draft night, whether that’s the second overall pick, or the 7th overall pick plus additional assets.
