Knicks Receive: Russell Westbrook

Rockets Receive: Julius Randle, R.J Barrett, Frank Ntilikina, Kevin Knox and 2021 first round pick.

This trade would give the Rockets a front court piece to build around in Julius Randle, in addition to Barrett, Ntilikina and Knox. The Rockets would also get a first round pick in 2021.

Thanks to Randle’s $18 million salary, the Knicks can trade less players by parting with the 25 year-old.

Randle and Barrett would give the Rockets two players that Houston could plug into its starting lineup, as well as two extremely young guards. Knox and Ntilikina and just 21 and 22 years-old, respectively.

Neither guard is as talented or explosive as Westbrook, but Westbrook is 31 and the Rockets would have to make a conceited effort to get younger if they’re going to find a trade partner in the Knicks.
