Chicago Bulls: Aaron Gordon, F, Orlando Magic
With everything Aaron Gordon has done in his career thus far, it can be easy to forget he is still just 24 years-old. There has been widespread speculation in the past that Orlando may move on from him, and the Bulls could provide a landing spot.
Gordon could pair with Zach LaVine to give new head coach Billy Donovan two young weapons entering their prime.
As good as Gordon is, the Magic likely aren’t in position to be a win-now team next season. Orlando did make the playoffs as the eighth seed in the East, and the highlight of their NBA bubble experience was a game one victory over Milwaukee in the first round. However, that would prove to be their only victory of the playoffs.
The Magic proved they could make the playoffs, but their young core has a way to go before they’re considered contenders.
Trading Gordon would give the Magic the opportunity to retool around Nikola Vucevic, without completely tearing the roster apart.
