2020 NBA Mock Draft: Picks 16-20

16. Portland Trail Blazers — Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt

It’s difficult to find a wing that put together the level of scoring efficiency that Aaron Nesmith provided Vanderbilt last season. The level of jump shooting impact he brings to the table would help a Trail Blazers team, in particular, that already has shot creators.

17. Minnesota Timberwolves — Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky

There has been recent talk about Kentucky guards experiencing a boost in their scoring efficiency when they reach the NBA— between Devin Booker, Jamal Murray, and now, Tyler Herro. Despite his struggles in the shooting department and lack of size, there’s been intrigue around Tyrese Maxey.

18. Dallas Mavericks — Precious Achiuwa, F/C, Memphis

The Mavericks are a team that thrive with surrounding Luka Doncic with highly efficient perimeter shooting. However, there’s real value in having some interior oriented talents that can rim-roll and with Dwight Powell having a major injury, Precious Achiuwa would make sense.

19. Brooklyn Nets — Josh Green, G/F, Arizona

The Nets already have no shortage of talent on its roster with the additions of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to the lineup after coming off injuries. Going with a high upside player makes plenty of sense since a prospect like Josh Green would be given time to develop.

20. Miami Heat — Tyler Bey, G/F, Colorado

The Heat pride themselves on their defensive versatility and Tyler Bey is a talent that can guard multiple positions. He produced highly efficient results as a catch-and-shoot threat in addition to being a very efficient finisher around the basket— that has to be intriguing.
