2. Boston Celtics
It was a struggle for the Celtics to find an answer for Bam Adebayo in the Eastern Conference Finals. While there isn’t an individual talent that can neutralize a center that has the play finishing and passing talent of Adebayo, it would help to at least have a better option.
The Heat will not be going anywhere and will continue to be a major threat in the Eastern Conference. With Bam Adebayo playing a pivotal role for Miami in their head-to-head matchups with the Celtics, it’s important for Boston to bolster the center spot.
There is already a lot of talent in the Celtics’ backcourt and wing rotations. However, center options like Daniel Theis, Robert Williams, and Enes Kanter is not going to cut it for a team looking to contend. There simply needs to be a more dynamic option.
Moving on from Gordon Hayward could be a strong course of action for the Celtics this offseason. Doing so and managing to add Myles Turner to the center position would help Boston shake things up by bolstering their rim protection and floor spacing capabilities.
