With the lack of high-profile targets for teams in free agency this offseason, the NBA will see a lot of changes made via trade. For the New York Knicks, the trade market will be a major key. Houston Rockets superstar Russell Westbrook is a big name that they have been connected to quite often already.
Trading for Westbrook wouldn’t be a cheap move for the Knicks. They would have to give up quite a bit of value in return. However, they need to find a franchise player and acquiring Westbrook would give them just that.
During the 2019-20 NBA season with the Rockets, Westbrook put up huge numbers. He averaged 27.2 points per game to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists. Westbrook shot 47.2 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from the three-point line.
