NBA Rumors: Suns planning to pursue Joe Harris in free agency

The Phoenix Suns may not be the most popular team in the NBA, but if their performance in the Orlando bubble shows anything, they are headed in the right direction. Making moves this offseason will be a must and it appears Joe Harris will be a target for the Suns.

According to a report from LegionHoopsRoss, the Suns are planning to pursue Harris this offseason in free agency.

Harris to the Suns would be an ideal fit for both sides. Phoenix likes getting up the court quickly and they love the three-point shot. The impending free agent shooting guard is one of the most dangerous shooters in the game.

During the 2019-20 NBA season with the Brooklyn Nets, Harris ended up averaging 14.5 points per game to go along with 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He shot 48.6 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 42.4 percent of his three-point attempts.

The report also states that the Nets will do everything they can to re-sign Harris. That makes a lot of sense, as Brooklyn will want as much shooting as possible surrounding Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant next season.

Brooklyn and the Suns are not going to be the only teams interested in Joe Harris. His shooting ability will make him a hot commodity in free agency. However, his fit in Phoenix might intrigue him enough to seriously consider this option.

It will be interesting to see where Harris ends up. If he does land with the Suns, Devin Booker and company will have an even more lethal offense.

Expect to hear more rumors about Harris as the offseason continues to draw closer. Teams who need shooting will be looking long and hard at the 29-year-old sharpshooter.
