New York Knicks
For an organization that has failed to make the playoffs for the greater part of the last decade, it’s clear the Knicks aren’t on the brink of getting out of that hole. The days of sitting around and waiting for a wish-list of star free agents to come and sign with them needs to end.
It’s critical to note, the Knicks have routinely failed to hit on their draft picks. While there’s still plenty of time for R.J. Barrett to solidify himself, progression in his development wouldn’t come close to turning New York to turn things around.
The Knicks would benefit from adding an established star like Russell Westbrook that can help carry the load. New York lacks any individual talent that is worth running their offense through and Westbrook would help them to set the tone.
The Knicks could consolidate their recent draft selections and use them to land Westbrook. New York also has extra draft assets after trading Kristaps Porzingis to the Mavericks. Bringing in Westbrook could help to attract another intriguing talent in free agency.
