Chicago Bulls
It has been a while since the Bulls have managed to be a threat in the Eastern Conference. Between moving on from Jimmy Butler and failing to hit well enough on draft picks, Chicago simply has been left in a state of mediocrity, but there is hope.
There is a real need for the Bulls to either experience substantial progress in player development or to make a move for an All-Star level talent to help set the tone. To make a return to the playoffs in 2021, making a trade would be the simplest route to go.
Russell Westbrook would be a helpful option to pursue when considering the lack of impact Chicago received from its personnel in key ball handling areas. Coby White might be able to improve in this area if given time to develop, but doesn’t project as ever being dynamic.
Chicago wouldn’t be wise to part with the No. 4 overall pick to acquire Westbrook. However, the Bulls do have a variety of recently selected lottery picks they could offer in an effort to appeal to the Rockets. The expiring deal of Otto Porter Jr. could help to make a deal happen if he opts in.
