76ers Receive: Buddy Hield, Cory Joseph

Kings Receive: Al Horford, Josh Richardson, 2020 2nd Round Pick (via NYK)

When comparing the previous offer that featured Horford, the Kings would receive a more established shooting guard in Richardson as opposed to an unproven prospect. That makes it more appealing for Sacramento if they are looking to make a push for a playoff spot in 2021.

Another benefit for the Kings is they would be able to get out of holding onto Joseph’s contract. That helps offset some of the perception surrounding Horford’s deal when looking at the situation from the perspective of potential salary cap burden.

Meanwhile, it’s pretty straightforward for the 76ers. They manage to add one of the league’s highest volume sharpshooters while moving on from an ill-fitting piece. The cleaner fitting lineup combinations throughout games would help Philadelphia experience legitimate improvement.
