3. Kings Land a Stretch-Five
76ers Receive: Buddy Hield, Yogi Ferrell
Kings Receive: Al Horford, Zhaire Smith, 2020 2nd Round Pick (via NYK)
The contract Horford signed with the 76ers has proven to be substantially overpriced relative to his impact. However, he could be far more helpful playing the center role for the Kings than he would be doing anything in Philadelphia.
Having the passing ability, floor-spacing, and defensive impact Horford can bring to the table at the center spot would help the Kings become a more competitive team. He will never reach that type of impact to be completely worth his deal, but he could certainly come much closer in Sacramento.
What may appeal to the Kings is the ability to add an intriguing wing prospect in Zhaire Smith in addition to a second-round selection in the upcoming NBA Draft. None of those are franchise-changing assets, but regardless, could be helpful for Sacramento.
