2. Voice in the Locker Room
Fred VanVleet will look for a home for his fifth season in the league. The Knicks are full of players who do not have that experience in the league. And they definitely do not have anyone who has any experience winning. Maybe Taj Gibson, who played for some solid Bulls’ teams early in his career.
Over the last two years, VanVleet has great experience in the postseason. He played in 24 postseason games last year on his way to an NBA Championship with the Raptors. The Knicks do not have that leader in the locker room who can be a voice.
With Thibodeau as head coach, they will take a step in the right direction in regards of how the team is run. Now it is time to get some players who can be leaders.
The Knicks have some young players mixed in with veterans who could get dumped in trades. Stability and leadership are the reasons VanVleet would be a nice addition to the roster.
