B/R suggests Kings-76ers trade centered around Buddy Hield

The Sacramento Kings face a strange relationship with Buddy Hield entering the offseason and pursuing a trade being what appears to be the best option. The Philadelphia 76ers, on the other hand, need to move Al Horford and add more shooting.

Considering the circumstances, there appears to be a real pathway for a mutually beneficial deal. The trade package Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report suggested involved the 76ers receiving Hield in exchange for Al Horford and the No. 34 and No. 36 picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The Kings likely will be unable to receive a substantial return in exchange for Hield. While Horford is 34-years-old and has three years remaining on his current contract, he can provide a helpful stretch-five impact for a Sacramento team in need of that skill-set.

The previous attempt the Kings made to land a stretch-five ended in failure. The idea was that Dewayne Dedmon could be the answer in that role and that quickly resulted in failure. Now, Sacramento still faces a need to add a helpful talent.

Having a talent like Ben Simmons that can create shots for teammates would be an intriguing situation for Hield to enter. He’d be able to provide a real impact in a designated sharpshooting role in Philadelphia’s offense, which is intriguing to think about if they were to hire a coach like Mike D’Antoni.

Being able to move on from Al Horford is the best option for the 76ers if possible and being able to add a talent like Buddy Hield would only help. It could be what Hield needs to take the next step in his career by playing alongside multiple stars.
