B/R suggests Bucks trade centered around Pacers star Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers are entering an interesting offseason and many believe that he could end up being traded. If that is the case, the Milwaukee Bucks could be an intriguing landing spot for him.

Trading their star shooting guard within their own division may not be of serious interest to the Pacers, but the right deal could make it happen. Milwaukee is looking to add talent around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Oladipo could be an ideal fit.

Bleacher Report suggested that the Bucks should look to acquire Oladipo from the Pacers. They have a trade mentioned that would send Oladipo to the Bucks in exchange for Eric Bledsoe, Donte DiVincenzo, and the No. 24 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Many fans in Indiana are not going to like the return that the Pacers would get from the Bucks in this particular deal. However, let’s take a closer look at it.

Bledsoe is a very talented guard and the Pacers would be able to move Malcolm Brogdon to the shooting guard position. Their new point guard would be capable of penetrating and kicking out to shooters. In 2019-20 with the Bucks, Bledsoe averaged 14.9 points per game to go along with 5.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds.

DiVincenzo is an intriguing talent who had a solid season for the Bucks. He averaged 9.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the floor and 33.6 percent from the three-point line. Adding a first-round pick in this draft would be nice for the Pacers as well.

On the other side of things, the Bucks would be getting an All-Star caliber player in Oladipo. He is still coming back from a ruptured quad tendon, but showed flashes of his old self in the bubble with the Pacers.

In the 19 total games that he played with the Pacers in the regular season, Oladipo averaged 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. But, in the four-game series against the Miami Heat, Oladipo averaged 17.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

This is a deal to keep an eye on, but Oladipo to the Bucks seems rather unlikely. The Pacers would not want to play Antetokounmpo and Victor Oladipo four times a year.
