Just a few short years ago, Kevin Love was a hot trade target for quite a few different teams. At one point, he was rumored to have been offered to the Indiana Pacers in a trade that would have acquired Paul George for the Cleveland Cavaliers. That deal did not end up happening of course.
Now, the Pacers could circle back around to trading for Love. They currently have two front-court players in Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner that simply don’t fit great together. Love could fit nicely alongside Sabonis.
During the 2019-20 season with the Cavaliers in 56 games, Love ended up averaging 17.6 points per game to go along with 9.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists. He shot 45 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 37.4 percent of his three-point attempts.
At 32 years old, Love isn’t getting any younger. Leaving the Cavaliers for a team who is ready to compete in the playoffs would be ideal. That team could be the Pacers, who are in for and offseason of change this year.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at one intriguing trade for the Cavaliers that would send Kevin Love to the Pacers.
