The Miami Heat have put together a strong 2019-20 NBA season and are fresh off of sweeping the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. While the players obviously aren’t looking ahead to the offseason, the front office is already looking at ways that they can improve the roster.

Jimmy Butler has taken over the leadership role for the Heat, but he would love to add more star power. Rumors have swirled around Victor Oladipo and Giannis Antetokounmpo, but there is another option that would make a ton of sense.

That option would be current Oklahoma City Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari, who is set to hit free agency this offseason.

Gallinari is an extremely talented and versatile forward. In the regular season, Gallinari ended up averaging 18.7 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists. He shot 43.8 percent from the floor and knocked down 40.5 percent of his three-point attempts.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at why Danilo Gallinari and the Heat would be a perfect fit for each other in free agency.
