The Dallas Mavericks will be among the 22 teams that will take part in the resumption of the NBA season at Disney World. With Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis setting the tone and Rick Carlisle at head coach, they are one of the more intriguing teams to monitor.

This season, the Mavericks managed to see the highly intriguing potential of the Doncic-Porzingis duo. Even at just 21-years-old, Doncic has already managed to elevate his game to a level that should warrant All-NBA recognition along with being in the MVP conversation.

Prior to the suspension of the NBA season, it was quite a successful run for the Mavericks. They managed to post a 40-27 record and currently hold the 7th seed in the Western Conference standings. In addition, they posted a league-best 1.04 points per possession (1st) in their 67 performances.

The future is bright for the Mavericks but that doesn’t mean they can’t make some noise in the playoffs when the NBA season resumes. It won’t be easy considering they’re currently slotted to play the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round.

At the very least, the Mavericks will be able to see what needs to happen next from a roster construction standpoint in order to take the leap towards becoming a title contender. A full playoff series against a team like the Clippers, who is the worst potential matchup for them, would be the best resource for that.

With that being said, let’s take a look at three burning questions the Dallas Mavericks face ahead of the resumption of the NBA season.
