Can Clarkson & Ingles Produce?

In order for the Jazz to be a serious contender in the postseason, it’s going to take a team effort. Bogdanovic was definitely Utah’s best three-point shooter and arguably one of the best in the game, but Joe Ingles has also proven to be an efficient shooter from long range. He’s averaging just under ten points per night but is sinking three’s at a 39 percent clip. Usually, in and out of the starting lineup, Ingles has proven to be an important part of the Jazz offense.

Jordan Clarkson was acquired from Cleveland back in December and in 34 games with Utah, he’s showed very well. The 28-year old is averaging 15.6 points per game, becoming one of Snyder’s go-to bench players. He’s able to provide production at guard when Conley needs a rest, which is very important, especially with all teams not playing for over four months now. Everyone is going to feel slightly rusty and out of shape at the beginning, which means a lot of second unit guys will also get substantial minutes.

If all of Utah’s offensive weapons can continue to put up good numbers, they have a chance at actually getting somewhere in the postseason because they’re already a fundamentally sound team on both sides of the ball. In particular, it’s going to be exciting to see Conley get more touches and hopefully, find his previous brilliance that he showed on a yearly basis with Memphis.

Utah gets underway on July 30th when they take on Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.
