Since arriving in Indiana, Victor Oladipo has turned into one of the top guards in the Eastern Conference. In his first season with the Pacers, he raised his scoring average nearly eight points to 23.1 per game. He also led the league with 2.4 steals per game.
Oladipo has been an All-Star twice in three years with the Pacers. During the 2019-20 season, he was limited to 13 games with a gruesome knee injury. When the season was put on hold, the Pacers were currently fifth in the East with a 39-26 record. As the season moves toward continuing in Orlando, trade talks have been swirling around Oladipo.
The Pacers reportedly offered their star shooting guard a four-year, $80 million extension. To no one’s surprise, Oladipo rejected the offer. He has one-year left on his current four-year, $85 million deal. Oladipo would enter free agency with plenty of suitors, one being the Miami Heat. Oladipo and the Heat have been linked throughout this entire process but it seems as though they would prefer Giannis Antetokoumnpo, again to no one’s surprise.
Oladipo will do well in free agency, which is why he turned down the offer from the Pacers. If Indiana chooses to deal him, here are four teams, not named the Heat, that should go all in.
