Top Picks From 2019 NBA Draft Could Go Head-to-Head

If the Pelicans can continue to win basketball games with Zion Williamson at the forefront, it could set up a highly-anticipated meeting between the first and second overall picks from the 2019 draft.

Former AAU teammates and now franchise stars for their respective organizations, Williamson and Morant would go toe to toe in a two-game playoff for the final seed in the Western Conference.

One thing is for sure though. The league has made it very obvious they wanted the Pelicans to have a shot at the postseason in Zion’s first season based on the schedule they’ve given them. Whether it’s right or wrong, everyone wants to see the former Duke star ball out on the big stage.

Considering Zion’s ability to clutch up at the most important times, it won’t be a surprise seeing him in the playoffs in his rookie year. With some luck, maybe even in the first round against LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Now that would be exciting.
