3 reasons the Heat should pursue a Kevin Love trade in the offseason

3. More Floor Spacing

First off, trading for Kevin Love will open the floor for the Heat who shoot 38.3 percent from three. He is currently shooting 37.4 percent from deep and attempts seven three-pointers per game.

The Heat are an average three-point shooting team with a lot of athleticism. Brining Love into the fold will help them become even more of a threat and it will allow for more penetration.

Butler, Herro, Andre Iguodala, Goran Dragic, Derrick Jones Jr., Kendrick Nunn, and others attack the rim at a high volume. Adding Love to the roster will allow more pick-and-roll with a shooting option.

Not to mention Love is a good passer and will be a key component to starting the fast break. He will also pick great spaces in the half-court to spot up and shoot or take a defender off the dribble.

Lastly, Love’s back to the basket game will cause defenses to double team which will clear the driving lane.
