AD will be the main man in LA once James retires

It’s no secret that LeBron is getting older by the day. He’s now 35 years old and although he continues to be one of the game’s best, James realistically only has a few seasons left in him.

Once the King does retire, Davis will become the franchise star in LA. Although he was given that title in New Orleans, it wasn’t the same because they were an awful team and it hits different when you’re playing for a storied franchise like the Lakers.

By then, the hope is that Davis already has a NBA title under his belt. We also don’t even know if James wants to finish his career with the Lakers or not. Given that he seems very settled in the city it seems likely, but things can change in a hurry.

The organization could also bring in other impactful players to pair with Davis in the future once James does retire or move elsewhere in order to keep being a contender. But either way, all eyes will be on Davis for many years if he makes a long-term commitment to his future with the Lakers.
