His best shot at a title
Davis has been one of the best players in the association for a number of years now. He’s finally getting his chance to be on a contender, why move elsewhere? It just wouldn’t make sense.
James is one of the best to ever step on the hardwood and given his track record in Miami and Cleveland, there’s a high chance he brings a title to the Lakers before his career is done. We all saw how much Los Angeles struggled last year though when it was basically LeBron on his own trying to win games.
They didn’t even make the postseason. Davis has been a valuable add this season, working very well with James on a nightly basis. Between the two of them, they’re scoring close to half of the team’s points per contest.
They’re also top five in offensive and defensive rating because of AD and LeBron’s efforts on both ends of the court. Los Angeles gave up basically all of its assets to get Davis last summer in order to try and win a championship in the next couple of years. They’ve shown this season they have what it takes, but only if both of their superstars are locked and loaded.
If Davis wants to win a title now, he’s playing with the right man in order to do so: LeBron James.
