LaMelo Ball to the New York Knicks is exactly the move that both sides need. New York has been struggling in mediocrity and a dynamic guard like Ball would be exactly what the doctor ordered for them.
New York has put together some decent pieces over the last couple of years. They have young talents like RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox, and Mitchell Robinson, along with quality players like Julius Randle, Dennis Smith Jr., and Bobby Portis.
Bringing in Ball would free the Knicks up to trade Smith Jr. They could get something decent in return for him to add more pieces and assets.
Ball also would like to play in New York. This has a perfect fit written all over it.
