The Indiana Pacers have been on hold since the NBA suspended play due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While they have been unable to play NBA games, there have been quite a few ways the break in action has actually benefitted the team.

With the future of the 2019-20 NBA season still hanging in the balance, it appears that the league is working towards resuming play. More than likely, the league would forego the rest of the regular season and begin with the playoffs with the standings that were in place before the suspension of play.

If that does end up being the case, the Pacers would be the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and would face off against the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoff schedule.
