Avery Bradley
It would be easy to place Kyle Kuzma here but why not someone that everyone seems to forget how special he can be? Avery Bradley is not going to give the Los Angeles Lakers 20 points per night but he adds a certain element that will be vital for the team’s success down the stretch and for the playoffs. This year, Bradley is averaging 8.5 points while hitting .370 percent from deep. The issue here is that he’s only getting 23.4 minutes per game.
It’s not that Vogel doesn’t trust Bradley, it’s just that the Lakers are stacked at certain positions. This is why a trade at the deadline would have benefited the team in more ways than one. Now, once the playoffs start, Vogel will have to trim his rotation. At this point, will Bradley get the majority of the minutes or will time continue to be split evenly between him and Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Alex Caruso, and Quinn Cook?
While Green has played on the big stage before and won championships, he’s still not the best player of the bunch. Bradley can play multiple positions and best of all, he can be a spot-up shooter or create his own shot. These are the intangibles the Lakers will need for the rest of the season.
