2. Inefficient Shooting Tendencies
As an easy residual of Russell joining the Warriors, D’Angelo Russell’s attempts from beyond the arc are up volume–wise (9.7 per game with Golden State, 9.6 per game counting one game with the Wolves) and as a raw percentage of his overall field goal attempts (50.6 percent with Golden State; 50.4 percent after one game for Minnesota) this season.
But he was still only converting a little over 37 percent from beyond the arc during his time with the Warriors. His catch-and-shoot numbers are pretty good this year (41.3 percent from 3-point range), but a big chunk of his overall shot attempts (55.4 percent) have come off three or more dribbles too.
