1. Golden State Has Players Who Will Keep Him Accountable
Finally, players like Wiggins who have struggled to reach their full potential need teammates to motivate them and keep them accountable. That is exactly what the Warriors can offer him and is a huge part of the reason that this move made perfect sense.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson normally lead by example, but are not scared to be vocal when needed. Draymond Green, however, is the kind of player that will get in someone’s face if they aren’t working hard or are playing a selfish brand of basketball. That became even more apparent last season when he had no problem getting into Kevin Durant’s face.
This will be a change of pace for Wiggins, but it is a much needed change of pace. His teammates are going to be much different than anything he has ever had, but that will push him to be great. The Warriors may be getting a steal with this move.
