1. Add Assets for a Rebuild

The top priority for the Detroit Pistons should be to undergo a true rebuilding process. They have been stuck in mediocrity for a while and doubled down on it by trading for Blake Griffin.

The best thing the Pistons could do is look to acquire more assets for a rebuild by trading veterans with one-year deals like Derrick Rose and Langston Galloway to a contender. Those teams are in need of their services while Detroit should be trying to rebuild.

Managing to establish a war-chest of assets would later help the Pistons to put themselves in a situation with a brighter future. The ceiling of the current group is hoping to make the playoffs and that’s uninspiring.
