1. The Playoffs Aren’t Likely

The idea behind adding a veteran like Thaddeus Young for a team like the Bulls is simply to at least make it into the playoffs. Even in a weak Eastern Conference, Chicago isn’t in a position to accomplish that.

With a 16-28 record, the Bulls are currently 10th in their respective conference and trail the eighth seed Brooklyn Nets by 3.5 games. It seems quite unlikely that even though the Nets have struggled that they would get passed up by Chicago.

It’s time for the Bulls to admit their failures and do a tear down at the deadline. Even if they were to make the playoffs, they’d basically get the honor of getting demolished by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.
