Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Reasons Why Josh Hart Should Start

1. King James: Longevity and Future Contracts

Los Angeles has Hart under contract until the summer of 2021 where he will be a restricted free agent. Prior to re-signing Caldwell-Pope to another one-year deal, the Lakers probably didn’t expect Hart to explode in the summer league.

Needless to say, Walton and Lakers management should continue to work on the 2017 draft picks’ game. Looking into the future the team could have something great on their hands. After watching several workout videos during the summer and how the young guard looks up to James it’s obvious that he is hungry.

Having King James on your roster will make any team better. One aspect that is often highlighted is how LBJ impacts the younger players on his team. Over the past few years, James has played with older role players who are a bit past their prime.

Ball, Kuzma, Hart and Ingram have relished the opportunity to compete, learn and play with James. The signing of the three-time NBA champion will help the young Lakers core develop a winning culture, attitude and swagger.

No slight to KCP but he does not fit with the Los Angeles Lakers and what they are trying to accomplish this year. Hart should be in the Lakers starting lineup considering the fact that he is apart of this team’s future plans.

Bold Prediction: As the season continues to unfold he will work his way into the starting lineup.

What do you think Hart’s role should be on the Los Angeles Lakers?
