Philadelphia 76ers: 3 X-Factors For the 2018-19 NBA Season

Brett Brown Has To Adjust

In the playoffs against the Boston Celtics, the Philadelphia 76ers looked lost. It wasn’t that they weren’t ready, it was that their coach wasn’t ready. Brown did a wonderful job during the regular season and the first round against the Miami Heat. But when the Celtics decided to attack, Brown forgot which way was up.

Now, Brown and the Sixers will have targets on their backs. The question is can Brown handle the pressure and keep his team focused on the big picture? Joel Embiid is a Social Media God while Ben Simmons is entering into the spotlight. There will be trade rumors swirling, shots taken from opposing teams, and high expectations.

Although they did win 52 games, that was more of a surprise; Now they’re expected to win. That can maybe make it harder on a coach to keep his team in a good spot mentally. The Celtics should be healthier and have a way better coach in Brad Stevens, and the Toronto Raptors now have Kawhi Leonard, meaning they should be better. The Sixers will have their chance to make noise in the Eastern Conference, but it’s up to Brown to get the most out of their roster.

What will happen if the team struggles and Browns’ inability to reel his team in comes into question?
