Philadelphia 76ers: 3 X-Factors For the 2018-19 NBA Season

The Philadelphia 76ers will enter the 2018-19 NBA Season with one goal – winning a championship. After finishing the 2017-18 season with 52 wins, many believe the Sixers are ready to take that next step. With LeBron James off to the Western Conference, the only team standing in the Sixers’ way may be the Boston Celtics.

The offseason was full of promise as the Sixers were expected to make a play for LeBron James, Paul George, and there was a hint of a Carmelo Anthony signing. However, what they walked away with was basically the same team they had the prior season. While many may consider that a fail for Brett Brown, how can you turn your nose up on a 52-win team bringing back the same core in a weakened conference? This was a win for the team.

With the Sixers’ core expected back at full health with Markelle Fultz ready to go plus another season of experience from their cornerstones in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, this could be a return of glory for Philadelphia. But it all begins with their role players. In order for the team to take that next step, they will need contributions from everyone.

Here are 3 X-Factors for the 2018-19 Philadelphia 76ers.
