It feels funny to write an article about three goals for the Houston Rockets. After all, they were the best team in basketball last year with a 65-17 record, had MVP James Harden rip through defenses, and came only one game short of advancing to the 2018 NBA Finals.

But the Rockets have had an interesting offseason thus far. They lost valuable wingers in Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute, added Carmelo Anthony, and have been forced to toil around in their minds with all the what ifs.

What if Chris Paul doesn’t go down with a hamstring injury in the embers of Game 5 in the Western Conference Finals?

What if they didn’t miss a record 27 straight three-pointers in Game 7?

What if they went up against King James and the Cavaliers in the Finals?

But let’s stop dwelling on the past and move forward.
