Indiana Pacers: 3 Big Goals for the Team to Achieve in 2018-19

As the 2018-19 NBA season continues to draw closer, the Indiana Pacers are still being talked about as one of the best up-and-coming teams in the league. No one has forgotten about their impressive 48-win season last year and the fact that they pushed LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Nate McMillan and company entered the offseason with big goals of improving their roster. While they didn’t make a big splash, the Pacers were able to go out and sign Tyreke Evans and Doug McDermott. Indiana also signed veteran big man Kyle O’Quinn.

Looking ahead at the upcoming season, the Pacers are expected to take another step forward. That won’t be easy, although the Eastern Conference doesn’t have James terrorizing it anymore.

Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner have their work cut out for them this season. If the team is able to play to its full potential, they are going to compete with teams like the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Toronto Raptors in the East. If not, Indiana fans might just be looking at an overhaul of the roster next offseason.

All of that being said, what three goals should the Indiana Pacers focus on achieving throughout the course of the 2018-19 NBA season?
