Goal 3. More Scoring From the Bench

It is no secret that the Warriors are top-heavy with the number of stars they have in the starting lineup. Their bench has lacked a proficient scorer, a player, who can take the load off the star players. This is where signing Jamal Crawford to help bolster the bench offense comes into play. Last season, the Warriors were 30th in the league in three-pointers made off the bench.

This is a category where Crawford can provide some assistance. Known as a ball-handling maestro with a feather-soft shooting touch, Crawford can heat up in a hurry. He would provide the instant offense off-the-bench scoring the Warriors have been lacking during this tidal wave of success.

The Warriors ranked 22nd in the league in bench scoring last season, which is understandable with the kind of talent they have in the starting lineup. However, there is much room for improvement.

Jonas Jerebko, another free agent signing should help in the bench scoring department. His driving ability and shooting ability from the perimeter should provide some assistance for the bench. Off the bench for the Jazz last season, he shot 44.3 percent from the field, including 38.6 percent from beyond the arc. His shooting for a power forward will allow more driving lanes for other players such as Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

The numbers for the bench scoring are not up to par to what they could potentially be. If the Warriors brass decides to sign Crawford, it will be a huge benefit to the team and its plethora of stars.
